Quality Control Manager

Position: Prom is one of the top Minneapolis/St. Paul caterers for weddings, corporate events, & private functions, and is one of the largest caterer/concessionaires for numerous golf events throughout the U.S.

Description: This position will be responsible for:

  • Establishing event contacts and filing necessary documents for temporary food services licenses. On-site meetings with local regulatory agents.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Training staff on proper sanitation, food safety/temperatures/quality, presentation and alcohol awareness.
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down of events.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with many departments, culinary, operations, account executives, staffing, etc., to ensure client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and smooth execution of events.
  • Manage and train future managers on proper inventory levels, opening & ending procedures, and daily focus of Sanitation and Alcohol Awareness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Environmental Public Health, Sanitary Science or other related environmental field or science.
  • Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Sanitarian preferred.
  • Minimum five years of related work experiences.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of local, county, state and federal health codes required.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Significant amount of travel throughout US required for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Ability to walk a mile. Ability work in outdoor and in temporary environments.

Environmental Health Practioner

Position: Full-time

Description: This position will perform a variety of administrative & technical work in code compliance and enforcement functions including those related to environmental health (including food, beverage, lodging, pools, &: mobile homes) and other associated activities.

Salary: $43,228.08 to $60,519.09

Minimum Qualifications: Environmental Health Specialist/Sanitarian currently registered with Minnesota Department of Health, or a baccalaureate degree in environmental health, sanitary science, sanitary engineering or other related environmental field which includes at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hour credits in the physical or biological sciences and possess a R.S. or have necessary field experience and the ability to become registered within six (6) months of the date of appointment); minimum 2 years progressively responsible administrative experience in an environmental health department; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must also possess a valid driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications: Ability to:

  • read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, technical and procedure manuals, environmental health codes, ordinances and policies
  • prepare reports and correspondence
  • maintain records, complete forms and prepare reports
  • communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Retail Food Safety Auditor

Position: Full-time

Description: Audit/inspection services for product certification, retail food safety, and other NSF clients. Ideal candidates would live in the Minneapolis area and be willing to travel extensively within the territory including northern Wisconsin.

  • Conduct monitoring and initial retail food safety inspections / product recertification audits.
  • Provide a timely response to corrective actions proposed by NSF clients.
  • Develop cost effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits.
  • Conduct special visits to investigate product failures and verify the implementation of corrective actions taken by NSF clients.
  • Develop business by responding to inquiries, conducting introductory visits, conducting seminars, and attending conferences in support of NSF’s business units (as authorized).
  • Support NSF’s business units by assisting clients in the identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial (e.g. new products for certification, test only services, quality system registration).
  • Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and competitive threats to management team.
  • Investigate and resolve complaints.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with project managers as it relates to assigned clients.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, related science, or business; minimum of 1-2 years auditing experience; willingness and ability to travel extensively.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience with retail food safety inspections / audits; minimum of 2 years experience working in public or private sector as a health sanitarian; professional registration.
