Product Certification Auditor/Inspector

Position: Full time, permanent
Description: Provides product certification audit/inspection services to Certification programs and other NSF clients. Ideal candidates would live in or near the Minneapolis area.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, related science, or business; 2 years related industry auditing experience; ability to work independently from remote (home based) location; excellent communication skills (written and verbal); willingness and ability to travel extensively (75% of time); excellent computer skills; ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health, engineering, or related profession); valid driver license and reliable transportation.
Desirable Qualifications: Advanced degree in environmental health, related science or business; experience auditing or with quality control; minimum of 2 years experience working in the public or private sector as a health sanitarian; work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality function; professional registration; foreign language skills (Spanish, French, other languages); travel experience.

Environmental Health Interns (3 positions)

Position: temporary, full-time
Description: The City of Bloomington is seeking 3 individuals to serve an internship from May through August 2010. Under the direction of a registered sanitarian, interns will be responsible for conducting rental housing inspections, inspecting licensed public swimming pools, investigating nuisance complaints and working in other environmental health areas as needed. Opportunities may be available to do directed projects if they fall within the scope of our division.
Salary: $15.55 to $16.25 per hour
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or earning a degree in Environmental Health, Environmental Studies, Public Health, Biology, Chemistry or a related field. Must have completed 2nd year of degree program.
Desirable Qualifications: Completion of Master’s level course work.
